Job summary

Smartdeer Services Centre in Hong Kong seeks a Group Financial Controller to oversee HKFRS reporting, financial control, taxation and MIS across the Group. You will lead budgeting, forecasting and governance, assist in treasury and investor relations, and ensure effective financial operations aligned with HKFRS and HKEX listing rules.

The ideal candidate is CPA/ACCA/HKICPA with 10+ years of finance experience, including 3+ years in senior financial control, and fluent in English and Chinese

Qualifications

• CPA/ACCA/HKICPA qualification and a degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of finance experience, including 3+ years in senior financial control.
• Prior experience with Hong Kong-listed companies is preferable.
• In-depth knowledge of HKFRS, HKEX Listing Rules and corporate governance.
• Proficient English and Chinese communications (Cantonese and Mandarin).

A listed group comprising multiple listed entities in Hong Kong with diverse property and hotel business interests in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and Overseas is seeking a Group Financial Controller to oversee its financial & accounting and financial control functions.

Key responsibilities

Oversee HKFRS reporting, financial control, taxation and MIS functions across the Group

Responsible for financial budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial governance operations

Assist in treasury and risk management, ensuring effective financial and governance operations

Assist in corporate finance, funding and banking activities and investor relations

About you

CPA, ACCA, or HKICPA qualified with a degree in Accounting or Finance

10+ years finance experience, including 3+ years in senior financial control positions

Prior working experience with Hong Kong-listed companies preferable

In-depth knowledge of HKFRS, HKEX Listing Rules, and corporate governance

Proficient English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) communication skills
