Job summary

Interfill is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own group finance operations across Hong Kong and Mainland China. You will lead group accounting, consolidation, and cross-border tax strategy while driving treasury, inventory governance, and cost optimization.

You will report to the Executive Board, oversee external audits, and mentor the regional finance team. The role requires 10+ years in finance, HK/PRC experience, and fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

On behalf of our client—a leading regional cross-border supply chain and commercial distribution enterprise with operational hubs across Hong Kong and Mainland China,we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take full ownership of group finance operations. Reporting directly to the Executive Board, this role will drive group consolidation, cross-border tax and treasury strategy, warehouse inventory governance, and cost optimization.

Job Duties:

• Group Financial Accounting & Consolidation: Oversee full-cycle group accounting, monthly/quarterly/year-end closing, consolidated financial statements, intercompany reconciliations, and PRC compliance alignment with Group standards.
• Executive Reporting & External Audit: Prepare board papers, AGM materials, and strategic analyses while directing statutory external audits for regional entities as the primary audit liaison.
• Inventory Governance & Stock Audits: Conduct periodic on-site physical stock inspections across regional warehouses (Guangzhou, Shanghai, Weihai, Dalian) to ensure valuation accuracy and internal control integrity.
• Tax Compliance & Transfer Pricing: Direct cross-border transfer pricing frameworks, oversee HK IRD e‑filings, PRC tax submissions, and Annual Returns (AR) / Economic Substance (ES) filings for BVI entities.
• Treasury, Cash Management & FX: Oversee rolling cash flow forecasts, cross-border cash pooling, capital allocation strategies, foreign debt compliance/SAFE registrations, and FX spot/forward/swap execution.
• AR Governance & Cost Optimization: Drive Accounts Receivable collections, mitigate bad debt risks, and implement coordinated programs for sustainable cost improvements.
• Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment: Lead, mentor, and upskill the finance team while managing corporate banking, tax authority, and executive relationships.

Job Requirements:

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; HKICPA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification is required.
• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role ideally managing HK & PRC cross-border operations.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HK & PRC tax compliance, Transfer Pricing regulations, cross-border cash pooling, and PRC foreign debt regulations.
• Travel: Willingness to travel periodically to Mainland China warehouses (e.g. Guangzhou, Shanghai) for physical inventory counts.
• Languages: Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
