Job description

A fast-growing commerce group is looking for a strategic and execution-driven leader to own our enterprise data platform and spearhead our AI initiatives. Reporting to global tech leadership, you will serve as both the platform owner and a primary business partner—identifying operational high-value opportunities and deploying practical AI models, automated agents, and robust data foundations to drive measurable efficiency across global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Data & BI Platform: Architect, scale, and maintain our enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence estate to ensure reliable global reporting across retail and digital channels.
• AI Roadmap & Agent Deployment: Identify, prioritize, and build production-grade AI solutions and autonomous AI agents (e.g., for automated data validation, inventory tracking, and operational automation).
• Business Partnership: Collaborate directly with functional leaders (e-commerce, supply chain, marketing, retail operations) to transform business challenges into high-ROI AI and analytics initiatives.
• Data Governance & AI Literacy: Enforce master-data management (MDM) across core operational platforms (ERP, POS, e-commerce) while driving internal AI adoption and responsible AI governance.

Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years in enterprise data engineering, analytics, or AI/ML roles, with 3+ years in team leadership (preferrable currently at Manager level), gained in a multi-channel B2C, retail, property, hospitality, or consumer commerce environment.
• Technical Capabilities: Hands-on proficiency in Python, modern LLM and AI Agent frameworks, MLOps, data engineering, and enterprise data warehouse design.
• Track Record: Proven ability to build scalable data platforms and ship production AI use cases from ideation to launch.
• Languages: Native or fluent Cantonese speaker (essential for local cross-functional business partnership) with professional English fluency.
