La Californie HK Limited in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, is seeking a Graphic Designer with a strong eye for typography, imagery and detail. You’ll join a small team and work closely with the Creative Director across concepts, visuals and presentations.
Our approach is minimal and precise, with opportunities to contribute to print, digital assets, events and scenography. The role offers growth, independence and exposure to international luxury brands, starting in October.
La Californie is an independent strategic and creative agency founded in Paris in 2013. We work with leading international luxury Maisons, and opened La Californie HK in 2025 to develop our activity in Asia.
Our work sits between strategy and creation. We develop concepts and visual assets across events and scenographies, brand experiences, 3D and motion, films, digital content, print, internal communications and strategic presentations.
Some projects are public-facing, others highly confidential. Whatever the format, we bring the same attention to detail. We work closely with our clients over time, learning their history, products, culture and visual language, including the more subtle codes that don’t always appear in brand guidelines.
Understanding a brand deeply enough to create from within its world is central to the way we work.
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer with strong foundations, a good eye and a real desire to learn. You’ll join a small creative team and work closely with our Creative Director, with exposure to every stage of the creative process.
Our approach to design is minimal and precise. We care about typography, imagery, composition, proportion and detail, and about knowing when there is enough.
Depending on the project, you might work on a creative concept, visual territory, key visual, print or digital assets, an event or scenography, motion or 3D content, or a strategic presentation.
You won’t be expected to master every discipline. What matters is being able to think across formats and understand how an idea can translate from one medium to another.
Because we work between Europe and Asia and regularly travel or spend time in client meetings, you should also be comfortable working independently when needed.
We’re looking for someone who understands quickly, can move a project forward with good judgement and knows when to ask the right questions. Trust is essential to the way we work. Many of our projects involve sensitive or confidential information, sometimes at a very early stage. Discretion, reliability and a strong sense of responsibility are therefore extremely important , both for us and for our clients.
Our work is quite specific, and we don’t expect you to know everything from day one. We believe in helping people develop over time, particularly when it comes to the codes and level of detail required by luxury brands.
What we do look for is harder to teach: curiosity, taste, motivation, attention to detail, good judgement and high personal standards.
You should have a genuine interest in luxury, brands and products, as well as design, fashion, architecture, hospitality and culture. You should also be comfortable receiving feedback, questioning your work and taking the time to get things right.g the time to get things right.
Creativity is essential to what we do, but it always serves a brand, an audience and an objective.
This may not be the right environment if you’re mainly looking for experimental or self-expressive graphic design. We’re interested in designers who enjoy understanding a context, working with constraints and finding the strongest creative response within them.
You should be comfortable with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, as well as PowerPoint and/or Keynote.
Presentation design is an important part of our work. Being able to structure an idea and give it visual clarity matters just as much as traditional graphic design skills.
Experience or a strong interest in motion, 3D, photography, video and AI creative tools is a plus.
You’ll join a small and growing team in our Wan Chai office, working directly with major international luxury brands across a wide range of creative projects.
We’re looking for someone curious, motivated and ready to progressively take on more responsibility, someone who wants to grow as a designer while growing with La Californie HK.
Full-time Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Starting in October.
