Job summary

Arup in Hong Kong is seeking a Graduate Materials Engineer to join our Building Envelope & Materials team. You will contribute to innovative and sustainable material solutions for buildings and infrastructure projects while supporting material selection, specification development, and performance assessments across the project lifecycle.

This graduate opportunity offers mentoring, training, site investigations, laboratory testing, and opportunities to develop consulting and project management

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's level degree in Materials Engineering / Science, or Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese.
• No more than 2 years of full-time experience in a comparable role.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to innovative and sustainable material solutions for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Support material selection, specification development, and performance assessments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in material durability, condition assessment, and failure investigation studies for a wide range of construction materials.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical and technically robust solutions for clients.
• Develop expertise through site investigations, laboratory testing, research, and knowledge sharing while building strong consulting and project management skills.
