GPU/HPC Server Validation Engineer

Job summary

Pragmatike is recruiting a Server Engineer for hands-on GPU/HPC hardware on-site in Hong Kong. You will move between factory floor and test lab, owning quality and validation of server builds with a strong Linux background and firmware knowledge.

The role requires practical bring-up, burn-in and QC across chassis, boards and systems, with CUDA/NCCL benchmarking and collaboration with design and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing and validation of GPU/HPC servers, not just operating them.
• Strong Linux skills at the system and hardware level.
• Firmware knowledge: BIOS/UEFI, BMC/IPMI, GPU firmware.
• NVIDIA stack knowledge: drivers, CUDA, NCCL; benchmarking multi-GPU systems.
• Solid server hardware understanding: motherboards, PCIe, power, cooling.
• Experience with QC/manufacturing test processes in hardware production.
• Fluent English and Mandarin (both non-negotiable).
• Willingness to work on-site in Hong Kong, on factory floor and lab.

Responsibilities

• Own quality control across the client's manufacturing sites, on the factory floor.
• Run the hardware test lab: board and system bring-up, validation and stress testing.
• Oversee assembly and end-to-end testing of GPU servers before deployment.
• Define and maintain test procedures, acceptance criteria and QC checkpoints.
• Diagnose hardware, firmware and driver issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Validate GPU compute and interconnect performance under Linux using CUDA/NCCL.
• Document failures, yields and test results; feed findings back to design/production.
• Coordinate day-to-day with manufacturing partners and local suppliers in English and Mandarin.
