Job summary

All Star Agency in Hong Kong seeks a Trade Finance Operations Officer to process import/export trade transactions, including letters of credit and amendments, and support system projects.

The role requires hands-on trade finance experience, knowledge of ICC rules, and strong attention to detail, with collaboration across Trade Services and Customer Services to ensure accurate processing and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on banking experience in import/export trade operations.
• Experience processing trade finance transactions including letters of credit, documentary bills, trade loans and settlements.
• Knowledge of ICC rules: UCP 600, URC 522, ISBP, ISP98 and URDG 758.
• Understanding of trade-related transaction screening and AML/regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Collaborative working style with good interpersonal skills; proficient in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process and check import and export trade transactions, including letters of credit and amendments, import/export bills, trade loans, acceptances and settlements.
• Issuance and redemption of shipping guarantees, non-trade bonds, guarantees and standby letters of credit, with accurate processing and documentation.
• Apply ICC rules and screening requirements, supporting AML, anti-terrorist financing and regulatory compliance.
• Compile and check monthly outstanding trade reports for customers, banking returns and management information reports.
• Support trade system projects by providing user requirements, testing and assisting with enhancements.
• Assist in training junior colleagues on transaction processing, trade product knowledge and system operation, and support Customer Services.
