Job summary

NexusSearch International Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Settlement Manager / Senior Manager to oversee post-trade settlement across global markets, fixed income, mutual funds, and structured products, ensuring timely, accurate settlements and regulatory compliance.

This role partners with front-office, custody and depositories, leads system upgrades, and drives process improvements, with 4–8+ years' experience in a bank or custodian, and fluency in English and Cantonese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT or related field.
• 4–8+ years of post-trade securities and bond settlement experience in an investment bank, institutional brokerage, or custodian bank.
• Hands-on experience with Middle X, Clearstream and CMU preferred.
• Strong Excel skills; VBA/macros an advantage; analytical and reconciliation abilities.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin working proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overseas & Multi-Asset Settlement Execution for global markets.
• Depository & Clearing Operations via Clearstream, Euroclear, CMU and Middle X.
• Custody & Asset Servicing including SI, cross-border transfers, and corporate actions.
• Fails & Exception Handling with custodians and counterparties.
• Front-Office Support to institutional sales and trading desks.
• Regulatory Compliance with Hong Kong SFC rules; T+1/T+2 and withholding tax rules.
• System Upgrades & Project Management: define requirements, specs, vendor coordination, and UAT.
