Job summary

Deckers Brands is seeking a Principal Packaging & Printing Engineer to lead global packaging strategy across footwear, apparel, and accessories. You will drive standards for printing, labeling, and distribution-ready packaging, collaborating with legal, sourcing, and manufacturing partners to ensure cost, quality, and sustainability goals are met.

You will own packaging BOM data, supplier onboarding, and test protocols, while mentoring engineers and aligning with brands and regions to scale

Qualifications

Proven packaging engineering expertise across footwear/apparel/accessories.
Strong knowledge of printing and labeling technologies.
Experience with ISTA-style testing and packaging standards.
Ability to lead cross-functional packaging programs and vendor ecosystems.
Data-driven decision making and KPI dashboards for packaging.

Responsibilities

Define global packaging engineering standards across channels and products.
Own technical standards for printed packaging, labels, cartons, RFID, and related materials.
Develop testing protocols and change-control practices.
Mentor teams on engineering standards, sustainability, and regulatory requirements.
Build governance for packaging changes and supplier collaboration.
