Job summary

Hang Seng Bank Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Business Manager for Global Markets on a 12-month contract. The role supports day-to-day operations, alignment of plans with Front Office, Risk, Finance and Compliance, and drives governance and control improvements.

The ideal candidate has banking experience, strong project planning skills, and fluency in English and Chinese. Knowledge of Rates & FX is a plus, with professional qualifications considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration or other relevant qualifications.
• Proven years of banking or financial institution experience, preferably in product development, business planning/management, and risk and control management.
• Experience in Global Markets COO office, with knowledge in Rates & FX is a plus.
• Excellent in planning and managing projects.
• Attentiveness to details and self-motivated.
• Good communication, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese; Putonghua fluency is an advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as ECF and/or CB under HKIB would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operational and administrative management of the business.
• Develop the implementation of Global Markets plans and priorities to deliver the strategy.
• Assist in adoption of Group policies, procedures, and internal control workflows.
• Prepare product papers for new products, services, or processes.
• Support new business initiatives and internal adoption.
• Analyze regulatory requirements and liaise with internal and external regulatory parties.
• Lead cost-control initiatives and improve FO to BO operations.
• Participate in system development workgroups and monitor project progress.
• Support business continuity arrangements and provide production incident support.
• Maintain strong relationships with other business support and functional teams.
