Job summary

The Head of Professional Learning at ESF in Hong Kong leads a strategic, organisation-wide programme of professional learning to elevate teaching, staff development and student outcomes.

Reporting to the Director of Education, you will design and scale learning initiatives, align with Vision 2030, secure funding where needed, and foster international partnerships with school networks and academic providers to sustain ESF’s leadership in educational innovation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organisational Development, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Proven track record leading professional learning within an international school system or educational network.
• Leadership & Coaching: Knowledge in coaching frameworks, adult learning theory, and leadership capacity building.
• Project & Operational Management: Experience managing large-scale educational events, departmental budgets, and cross-functional teams.
• Interpersonal & Influence: Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and execute a long-term Professional Learning strategy aligned with Vision 2030.
• Design, lead and scale continuous professional learning initiatives for teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Partner with leaders to nurture a culture of continuous learning and global educational innovation.
• Monitor international developments and ensure evidence-based practice across ESF interventions.
