Global Sports Jobs Limited is seeking a senior leader to direct the Equine Welfare Research Foundation's operations and research strategy from Hong Kong. You will work with universities, veterinary experts and international racing bodies to prioritise research, evaluate funding opportunities and translate findings into practical benefits for horses worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
• At least five years of leadership experience.
• Strong academic and research background with a record of scientific achievement.
• Experience working within complex organisations and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to evaluate scientific research and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Outstanding relationship-building and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall direction and management of the Foundation.
• Develop strategies to maximise impact of research investments.
• Build long-term partnerships with global stakeholders.
• Oversee competitive research grant programmes and funding cycles.
• Evaluate proposals and support funded researchers with guidance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical and governance requirements.
• Prepare board papers and present funding proposals and outcomes to the Board.
• Collaborate with universities, industry bodies and thought leaders worldwide.
• Represent the Foundation at international conferences and events.
• Promote practical application of research and enhance knowledge sharing.
