Job summary

Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong seeks a Full Stack Developer for the Futures Technology team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end apps used by traders and operations, helping modernize platforms and support global futures and options trading.

Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions, uphold engineering excellence, and ensure operational resilience across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 1+ year (Analyst) or 3+ years (Associate) of professional software-development experience.
• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, preferably Java.
• Understanding of core computer-science concepts, including data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with software-development lifecycle practices, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.
• Self-directed, motivated, and eager to learn new technologies and solve challenging problems.
• Ability to work with guidance from senior engineers while progressively taking ownership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end and back-end applications supporting Futures and Options trading workflows.
• Participate in the modernization, uplift, and re-architecture of legacy platforms.
• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable services, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Collaborate with global technology teams, business users, and production support partners.
• Apply software-development lifecycle practices, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and releases.
• Diagnose and resolve complex application, data, and production issues.
• Provide Level 3 production support for Futures applications and participate in releases.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, engineering excellence, and operational ownership.
