Job summary

EMQ Inc. is seeking a Director, Global Banking & Network Partnerships to own the strategic development of EMQ’s global payment network, spanning banking, settlement, and partnerships across markets.

Based in Hong Kong, Shanghai, or Taipei, you will build senior relationships with banks and payment providers, negotiate terms including pricing and FX, and expand corridors while ensuring resilience and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in payments/fintech or financial services with leadership in partnerships or business development.
• Deep understanding of cross-border payment infrastructure and banking relationships.
• Strong commercial sense for pricing, settlements, and corridor economics.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders; English fluency required; Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic development of EMQ's global payment network, including banking and settlement structures.
• Build and manage senior partnerships with banks, payment providers, and financial institutions; negotiate terms.
• Lead expansion into new markets and corridors from assessment to go-live.
• Improve unit economics, margins, and service quality while maintaining resilience.
• Collaborate with Product, Treasury, Compliance, Legal, Operations and Technology on launches.
