Job summary

Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) is seeking a Construction Manager with extensive geotechnical and foundation experience to lead on-site operations for high-quality residential projects.

You will implement HKHS policies, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements. Strong leadership and bilingual communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years’ construction management experience, incl. 5 years’ managerial in GI/foundation work.
• Strong knowledge of HK Buildings Ordinance and geotechnical standards.
• Good command of English and Cantonese; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Implement HKHS policies and procedures for geotechnical, GI and foundation work; maintain accurate site progress and quality records.
• Ensure contractors’ compliance with quality standards via the HKHS Integrated Quality System, including QA documentation review and supervision of tests.
• Monitor site progress, identify delays and geological anomalies, take timely corrective action.
• Coordinate site teams to resolve technical, scheduling and resourcing issues; report to PMs, consultants, and contractors.
• Maintain effective communication with consultants, contractors, utility companies and government authorities.
• Endorse selection and performance of contract site staff.
• Oversee works handover, defect rectification and complaint follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with site safety and environmental requirements.
