Job summary

KCC is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily club operations and ensure an exceptional service experience for members in Hong Kong.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a robust background in hospitality management.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent, preferably in hospitality or recreation.
• Proven management and leadership experience in private clubs/hotels.
• Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the club to ensure high-quality service for members.
• Develop short-term and long-term planning for facilities management and sports development.
• Lead budgeting, capital planning, and internal controls.
• Engage a diverse membership of approximately 2,000 active members and over 160 staff and coaches.

Job description

The General Manager (GM) reports directly to the General Committee and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Club, ensuring a high-quality service experience for all Members.

The ideal candidate will have:

Educational Background:

University degree or equivalent, preferably in hospitality or recreation.

Experience:

Proven management and leadership experience in private clubs /hotels.Candidates with experience in a similar position will have a distinct advantage.

Planning Skills:

Knowledge and ability to develop both short-term and long-term planning for facilities management and sports development.

Administrative Skills:

Strong proficiency in finance, budgeting, capital planning, and internal controls.

Language Skills:

Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese is preferred.

Food & Beverage Expertise:

Comprehensive background in food and beverage management.

Sports Knowledge:

Familiarity with cricket and other sports would be anadvantage.

Interpersonal Skills:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in engaging a diverse membership of approximately 2,000 active members and over 160 staff and coaches.
