Job summary

Michael Page is representing a leading private bank in Hong Kong's wealth management space. The role focuses on developing and executing investment solutions strategy across mutual funds, discretionary products, and alternatives to drive growth.

You will partner with investment advisory, distribution and product teams and front office to translate market opportunities into actionable initiatives, generate insights, and support senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 10+ years in private banking, wealth management, or investment product distribution.
• Strong knowledge of mutual funds, discretionary investments, and alternatives.
• Proven track record partnering with frontline sales teams.
• Fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA/CAIA/CFP preferred.

• Act as a key contributor to the development and execution of the investment solutions strategy, supporting the growth of mutual funds, discretionary solutions, and alternative investments across the wealth management business.
• Partner with investment advisory, distribution, and product teams to identify client needs, translate market opportunities into actionable initiatives, and enhance the overall investment proposition.
• Generate market intelligence and competitive insights to support product positioning, business planning, and investment-related decision making.
• Analyze business performance, sales activity, and client trends to identify growth opportunities and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Drive investment-related projects and strategic initiatives, including platform enhancements, new product launches, process optimization, and regulatory-driven developments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across investment advisory, risk, compliance, operations, and marketing functions to ensure effective execution of business priorities.
• Develop investment content, market updates, and communication materials to support client engagement and strengthen the investment knowledge of frontline teams.
• Serve as a key point of contact for investment-related enquiries, helping stakeholders navigate market developments, product features, and portfolio solutions.
• Contribute to client events, investment seminars, thematic campaigns, and business development activities aimed at enhancing client engagement and deepening investment penetration.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience within private banking, wealth management, asset management, or investment product distribution.
• Strong knowledge of mutual funds, discretionary investment solutions, and wealth management products. Exposure to alternative investments such as private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or real assets is highly advantageous.
• Proven track record partnering with frontline sales teams and supporting investment product distribution.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to translate market trends and investment concepts into business opportunities.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required.
• CFA, CAIA, CFP, or other relevant professional qualifications are preferred.
