Job summary

DFI Retail Group is seeking a Functional Analyst specializing in Merchandising to harmonize business processes across all retail stores as part of a large ERP implementation in Hong Kong and Macau.

You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, engaging with commercial, marketing, planning and supply chain teams, and ensuring end-to-end alignment with store operations during the rollout and beyond.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in retail, with emphasis on supply chain, demand planning or inventory management.
• Experience in ERP system implementation is required.
• Strong command of English, Mandarin and Cantonese is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Functional Lead on overall functional design and solution delivery activities.
• Maintain and review business blueprint documents and ensure alignment with ERP configurations.
• Review configuration documents, system configurations and perform functional unit testing (FUT).
• Prepare and review test scripts for IUT, SIT and UAT and support data preparation with Data Migration team.
• Participate in training material preparation and delivery for end users.
• Support cutover activities and provide post go-live incident resolution.

Do you have a passion for implementing an ERP system in the retail environment?

We are seeking a Functional Analyst specializing in Merchandising to define largely harmonized business processes across all our retail stores through various standardized operating models. This is essential for the execution of our ERP implementation projects based in Hong Kong including Macau.

We are in the phase 2 of a 3-year program to deliver a new ERP system to DFI Retail Group’s businesses serving customers over 1,800 stores and 5 distribution centers across North Asia to enable complete technical transformations and seamless integrations with other retail and O2O applications.

Upon completion of the implementation, the Functional Analyst should support the business process team to contribute to continuous product and process enhancements, working closely with other integration systems to provide innovative solutions which will facilitate further growth in customer satisfaction and market coverage.

The Role:

Responsible for supporting the business process team to standardize an operating model for ERP driven processes in the retail environment. The Functional Analyst will translate business requirements from the process team into technical solutions keeping in mind the best market practices adopted in major ERP systems. The position will involve frequent direct exposure to the commercial, marketing, planning and supply chain teams, with end-to-end engagement with the store operation team.

The challenge is to:

• Support Functional Lead on overall functional design and solution delivery activities.
• Maintain and review the quality of business blueprints documents.
• Review Configuration Documents, System Configurations and execute Functional Unit Test (FUT) for Configuration. Review system environment Configuration according to the agreed list of configurations and perform manual configuration (general settings).
• Review and contribute functional specification documents.
• Responsible for data preparation for testing phases (based on scope and strategy aligned with business).
• Review and enrich functional unit test cases and perform function unit tests on the agreed list of configurations and developed enhancements.
• Prepare IUT, SIT, and UAT test scripts.
• Perform defect resolution for functional unit test.
• Support UAT for data prep along with the Data Migration team, provide functional support and defect resolutions.
• Assist with the preparation of the training materials and delivery of training.
• Support the cutover phase on various cutover activities (cutover plan preparation, configuration, smoke-testing, functional support).
• Provide Post go-live support (PGLS Incident analysis and resolution).

Requirements:

• Over 5 years of experience in retail/commercial management of supply chain, demand planning and inventory management is preferred.
• Technical knowledge of SQL, APEX and API integration are preferred.
• Experience with food business, health and beauty or convenience store commercial and marketing functions are an advantage.
• Experience in ERP system implementation is required.
• Strong experience as a functional analyst, process mapper and application solution designer are a must.
• Strong analytical, communication & negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and issues.
• Creative, independent, resourceful, and willing to drive change.
• Able to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
• Well-organized and customer-focused with an ability to manage different priorities in a global setting.
• Experience of working in a highly matrixed organization is a strong advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or a related field.
