Job summary

Millennium, a global, diversified alternative investment firm, seeks a Full-Stack Software Engineer in Hong Kong to join the Equities Research Tools team. You will collaborate with portfolio managers, quants and technologists to translate business needs into scalable software.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining full‑stack apps, delivering intuitive interfaces with Angular or React, building backend services in Python and Spring, and applying AI-assisted automation to trading

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably in financial services or real-time trading.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring, Python and advanced SQL.
• Experience with Angular or React; cloud technologies like AWS or Snowflake are a plus.

Meet the Team

The Equities Research Tools team is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer, who will be part of a team that develops applications and services that help portfolio managers with idea generation, portfolio construction, and trading.

Under the guidance of technology management, the engineer will also interact with equities management, risk research quants and investment professionals to understand requirements and offer technical solutions. The engineer should be self-motivated, detail oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate strong ownership of work and high work ethics.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably within financial services or a real-time electronic trading environment.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring, Python, and advanced SQL.
• Experience with Angular is preferred; React experience will also be considered.
• Familiarity with Python data-processing libraries such as Polars is a plus.
• Experience using AI assistants and delivering task automation in a cost-conscious environment.
• Knowledge of equities and equity derivatives in a real-time electronic trading environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with investment professionals, quants, and technologists.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Snowflake; mobile development experience is a plus.
