Job summary

She Communications Ltd. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Hong Kong team. You will work with senior engineers and account managers to translate client workflows into technical tasks and deliver AI-powered SaaS solutions.

You will gain hands-on experience across discovery, full-stack development, third-party integration, deployment and client handover, with opportunities to grow into client outcomes ownership.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
• Basic understanding of SQL databases and Git; exposure to NoSQL or Docker is a plus.
• Exposure to open-source frameworks or CMS such as Payload, Laravel, WordPress, React or Next.js.

Responsibilities

• Support client discovery sessions and translate business requirements into technical tasks.

• Configure and customize platforms for client deployments.
• Integrate third-party APIs into web applications.

Forward Deployed Engineers sit at the intersection of engineering and client delivery. As a FDE, you will work alongside senior engineers and account managers to understand client workflows, then help build, configure and launch the SaaS and AI-powered solutions that solve them. You will get hands‑on exposure to the full delivery cycle — discovery, full-stack development, third‑party integration, deployment and support — and grow into owning client outcomes yourself.

What You'll Do

Support client discovery sessions and help translate business requirements into technical tasks

Build and maintain features for full-stack web applications and enterprise SaaS products, under guidance from senior engineers

Configure and customise platforms (AI e-forms, expense management, social analytics and related products) for client deployments

Integrate third-party APIs (Google, Meta, messaging and business systems) into web applications

Assist in building Generative AI features — prompts, LLM workflows, document extraction and retrieval — using tools such as OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI and LangChain

Collab with the creative, account servicing and engineering teams to design, test and launch new features

Help instrument and analyse tracking metrics to identify user pain points

Follow team best practices around development, testing, source control and deployment

Prepare demos, documentation and handover materials for clients

What You Have

Degree or higher diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline with minimum 2 years of related experience; fresh graduates also welcome

Basic understanding of SQL databases (e.g. MySQL) and Git; exposure to NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB) or Docker is a plus

Exposure to at least one open‑source framework or CMS (Payload, Laravel, WordPress, React, Next.js, etc.) through coursework, internships or personal projects

Internship, part‑time or freelance experience delivering a web application for a real user

Personal or academic projects using Generative AI tools (OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, LangChain)

Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)

Good communication skills in English and Cantonese; comfortable talking to non‑technical people

Easy‑going, enthusiastic, responsible and self‑initiating; eager to learn and comfortable asking questions
