Lidl & Kaufland Asia is seeking a Technical Shoes Specialist in Hong Kong to lead the footwear category from concept through mass production. You will bridge product development, quality, and merchandising, embedding material science into daily decisions to ensure performance, comfort, and cost-efficiency.

With 5+ years in footwear engineering, you will guide suppliers, oversee last creation and construction, and drive innovation while maintaining commercial credibility.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in footwear engineering, shoe making, or technical product development.
• Expert knowledge of end-to-end footwear manufacturing from concept to mass production.
• Deep understanding of footwear materials (leathers, synthetics, rubbers, foams) and testing standards.
• Ability to translate complex engineering concepts for non-technical teams.
• Strong pattern making, last creation, fit analysis, and Tech Pack specifications.
• High diagnostic capability to troubleshoot production defects and fit issues.

Aufgaben

• Act as the technical lead, elevating product knowledge and standards across teams and Germany HQ.
• Guide LKA team and suppliers with technical insights to boost commercial confidence.
• Oversee end-to-end product construction from concept to mass manufacturing.
• Manage last creation, fit optimization, and pattern engineering for performance and production viability.
• Oversee material selection, evaluation, and durability/compliance testing with partners.
• Establish material testing standards and QA criteria with labs.
