Cathay Pacific Group in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned Flight Operations engineer to join the FOP team. You will provide aircraft type technical expertise to FOP and manage the FOP/Engineering interface, ensuring operational needs are met safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include monitoring fleet serviceability, reviewing CARs/ASRs, maintaining MEL/CDL content, and liaising with HKCAD, operators and manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Aviation degree or licensed engineer background
• Flight Operations or aviation engineering qualification
• Strong aviation engineering knowledge and understanding of flight operations principles
• Knowledge of MMEL/MEL regulatory policy and CAD 549
• Ability to influence stakeholder relationships
• Excellent English communication (written and spoken)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience in Flight Operations or Engineering and airline management
• Minimum 10 years in the airline industry

Responsabilités

• Monitor fleet serviceability and assess impact on flight operations
• Assess CARs, ASRs and QA findings and implement corrective actions
• Maintain MEL and CDL and technical content of Fleet Operating Manuals
• Review manufacturers' operating information and prioritize changes
• Manage aircraft configuration changes and modification status
• Provide technical expertise to flight crew and respond to queries
• Coordinate engineering aspects of new hardware/software/procedures
• Liaise with HKCAD, engineering, operators, manufacturers and suppliers
• Bridge Flight Operations and Engineering with clear context
• Maintain knowledge via seminars and route familiarisation flights
