Job summary

The successful candidate will join Tung Wah Group of Hospitals as a Fitness Instructor in Hong Kong. You will provide exercise training, education programs, and support therapists in disease management initiatives.

Develop classes for clients at all levels and conduct fitness assessments with tailored training per therapist prescriptions. A valid Personal Fitness Trainer qualification is required; Advanced Level Fitness Assessment Leader certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Holder of a Personal Fitness Trainer qualification; preferably with Physical Fitness Assessment Leader (Advanced Level) Certification.
• Completed F.5 or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Good communication skills, good patience, fluent in Cantonese and computer literate.
• Preferably facility management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exercise training and education program, and support therapists in delivering diseases management programs.
• Develop and implement training exercise classes that fit clients of all levels.
• Provide fitness assessment to clients and training to individual clients as prescribed by therapists.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job description

Fitness Instructor (REF: A3/FI/TL/CWDHC/JOBS)

Provide exercise training and education program, and support the therapists in delivering diseases management programs;

develop and implement training exercise classes that fit clients of all levels;

provide fitness assessment to clients and provide training to individual clients in accordance with the prescription of the therapists; and

perform any other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate shouldhave/be:

holder of a Personal Fitness Trainer qualification, and preferably with Physical Fitness Assessment Leader (Advanced Level) Certification;

completed F.5 or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience;

good communication skills, good patience, fluent in Cantonese and computer literate; and

preferably facility management skills.

The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a salary currently at $22,590 per month (Tung Wah Master Pay Scale Point 7). Entry salary depends on years of recognized experience. The salary is subject to downward/upward adjustment or may be frozen as determined by Tung Wah and/or as appropriate with reference to the civil service pay review. The fringe benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.
