Job summary

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) invites a high-calibre candidate to join the Fintech unit in Hong Kong, contributing to shaping the responsible and sustainable development of the virtual asset and wider fintech sectors.

Reporting to an Associate Director or Senior Manager, you will help formulate policies, assess applications from firms and intermediaries, and supervise licensed entities to manage conduct and risk.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Good writing (English and Chinese) and presentation skills.
• Curiosity and aptitude for learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Keeping abreast of market and regulatory developments in fintech to identify issues.
• Assisting in formulating policies for virtual asset and fintech industry.
• Handling applications from firms and licensed intermediaries in the virtual asset space.
• Supervising intermediaries with a focus on conduct, financial and operational risks.
