Job summary

Datago Technology Limited is seeking an ML/NLP engineer to advance model development, including training loops, dataset preparation, and evaluation design. You will be responsible for the accuracy and auditable results, working with AI assistants as part of the workflow.

The role focuses on model training, data quality control, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on reproducibility and client-aligned evaluation metrics in a Hong Kong setting.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of ML/NLP experience or equivalent research projects.
• Proficiency with Python and PyTorch; able to fine-tune transformer models and explain challenges.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune and maintain encoder models (BERT and more) for classification, NER and sentiment tasks.
• Design evaluation frameworks reflecting client priorities and strict evaluation standards.
• Manage data annotation workflows end to end, including guidelines and quality control.
• Curate large text corpora with sampling, cleaning, deduplication and versioning.
• Optimize model serving via ONNX export, quantization and batch inference.
• Maintain experiment records in W&B or equivalent, ensuring reproducibility.
• Maintain bleeding-edge knowledge in related areas.
