Job summary

China EverBright Bank Hong Kong Branch is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Planning and Finance to formulate HKFRS-compliant accounting policies and supervise GL rules, while coordinating with auditors and supporting monthly reporting and budgeting processes.

The role requires 5+ years in banking accounting, strong analytical capabilities, and proficiency in English and Chinese. System project participation and taxation responsibilities are included in the scope.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant banking accounting experience.
• Knowledge of HKFRS and Hong Kong tax regulations.
• Detail-minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (Putonghua).
• Good team player with interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in computerized accounting systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and maintain accounting policies compliant with HKFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Review GL posting rules for accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Act as key contact for auditors, providing supporting documents and responses.
• Prepare monthly management reports and support budgeting process.
• Prepare and file tax filings; liaise with tax consultants.
• Participate in system projects, advising on accounting rules for products.
• Handle ad-hoc duties from Head Office.
