We are seeking a versatile Finance Manager to lead the finance function in a dynamic commodities trading industry. Balancing strategic oversight with hands‑on execution, you will manage day‑to‑day accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and the full statutory audit cycle. A key focus includes driving international cash collections while maintaining strong buyer relationships. Leading a small team, you will act as a critical communication bridge between traders, operations, and senior leadership to enforce robust governance. Qualified accountants (CPA/ACCA) with trading, commodities, or manufacturing experience-and exposure to FX or hedging-are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Balance Sheet Governance

Prepare monthly management accounts with a rigorous focus on balance sheet integrity (AR/AP, inventory valuation, accruals, provisions, and intercompany reconciliations).

Perform hands‑on financial duties, including complex journal entries, key account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Maintain accurate inventory accounting and working capital tracking across multi‑jurisdictional operations.

2. International Collections & Commercial Credit Control

Take day‑to‑day ownership of the end‑to‑end cash collections cycle with international buyers.

Strike a balance between strict credit control/risk mitigation and maintaining strong, trust‑based relationships with key commercial buyers.

Monitor account receivables aging, drive working capital efficiency, and resolve payment disputes proactively.

3. Statutory Compliance & Audit Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors through the full statutory audit cycle.

Prepare audit schedules, statutory financial statements, and supporting documentation to ensure seamless, timely audit completion.

Establish, review, and enforce robust financial governance and internal control frameworks across trading and operational processes.

Ensure operational compliance and mitigate financial and reporting risks across the organization.

5. Team Leadership & Strategic Stakeholder Collaboration

Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering operational accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Serve as a key communication bridge across traders, operations teams, external auditors, and senior management through a clear, adaptable communication style.

Requirements

Industry Experience: Proven background in Trading, Commodities, or Manufacturing sectors.

Audit Experience: Direct experience managing external auditors through a full statutory audit cycle.

Operational Agility: Highly comfortable working in a dual capacity-operating hands‑on (journals, reconciliations) while contributing to strategic discussions.

Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing and developing a small finance team.

Communication: Exceptional, adaptable interpersonal and communication skills across non-finance stakeholders (traders, supply chain/operations) and senior executive leadership.

Nice-to-Have: Exposure to Foreign Exchange (FX) and/or commodity hedging (e.g., LME hedging mechanisms) is an advantage.
