Job summary

Veolia Hong Kong Holding Limited, part of the Veolia Group, seeks an experienced Senior Finance professional to lead GL data management, FP&A, and project costing for Quarry Bay operations.

You will drive month-end close, cash flow forecasting, and ensure HKFRS compliance across the business, coordinating with auditors and tax advisors as needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting/finance degree required.
• Professional qualification (HKICPA/ACCA/CPA Australia) preferred.
• 8–10 years in accounting/FP&A; heavy project/Capex exp preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GL, data integrity and month-end close.
• Manage project costing, variations and procurement spend.
• Lead cash flow forecasting and aging analysis for AP/AR.
• Ensure HKFRS alignment and internal controls with auditors.
• Lead annual budget and rolling forecasts; long-term modeling.
• Support ad hoc tasks from Line Manager.

Job Description

• Hands-On GL & Data Management: Actively manage and dive deep into the General Ledger (GL) and raw financial data. This is a highly hands-on role requiring the manager to manipulate data, execute complex reconciliations, and ensure data integrity at a granular level.
• Financial Control & Reporting: Oversee and maintain a full set of books, project accounting records, and ledger balances. Drive the month-end closing process and prepare timely financial analysis and monthly variance reports against budgeted capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenses (OPEX).
• Project Cost Control: Monitor project expenditure, track contract variations, review subcontractor payment applications, and audit heavy equipment or plant-specific procurement spending.
• Cash Flow Management: Supervise daily treasury functions, manage project invoicing, and prepare regular cash flow forecasts alongside aging analysis for accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure all financial transactions strictly align with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS) and internal group control policies. Coordinate internal and external parties including auditors and tax advisors.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly rolling forecasts, and long-term financial modeling for site operations.
• Support ad hoc tasks or assignments directed by the Line Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
• Qualified member of a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., HKICPA / ACCA / CPA Australia).

Additional Information

Requirements

• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant accounting and financeexperience (at least 3 years of FP&A) preferably gained within environmental services, waste management, construction, joint ventures, or heavy utility/engineering project environments.
• Deep understanding of general accounting principles, project costing methods, and Hong Kong tax regulations.
• Exceptional, hands-on capability in GL management and complex data analysis.High familiarity with major ERP software systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel for financial modeling.
• Experience operating YYNC system is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving under tight monthly reporting schedules.
• Strong command of written and spoken Chinese, Cantonese, and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across local project sites and corporate head office teams.
• Immediately available is preferred.
