Job summary

Polymer Capital in Hong Kong offers a summer internship focused on corporate and fund accounting operations. You will assist in vendor payments, month-end closes, journal entries, and financial statement preparation, supporting audits and tax filings.

Ideal candidates are accounting/finance students with advanced Excel and English proficiency, who are detail-oriented, proactive, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Students studying Accounting/Finance or related degree.
• Advanced Excel skills and good Word and PowerPoint knowledge.
• Prior experience in Oracle/SAP/Enfusion is a plus. Knowledge in Macro is a plus.
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
• Present good problem solving, analytical and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vendor payments on e-banking system, check invoices, track duplicates, liaise with suppliers and polymers affiliates.
• Prepare monthly debit notes and journal entries for management, income/expenses, and reimbursements.
• Assist month-end closing for corporate and fund, including reconciliation with counterparties.
• Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet schedules (trade debtors, fixed assets, bank reconciliation, prepayments, accruals).
• Assist to draft financial statements and notes, audit schedules for statutory audit and tax filings.
• Maintain setup in corporate and fund accounting/expenses systems.
• Maintain filing system and control schedules for Finance Department; keep supporting records up to date.
• Ad-hoc projects within the team.
