We are seeking a techno-functional Manager to lead finance process optimization, automation, and AI adoption across a global leading alternative investment manager's regional offices. In this role, you will bridge traditional finance operations with modern technology—building low-code tools, developing data scripts, and ensuring seamless integration between regional requirements and global platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for finance workflows and systems, aligning Asia-specific needs with global infrastructure.
- Drive generative AI, business intelligence (BI), and process automation initiatives to streamline financial operations.
- Build, deploy, and maintain custom low-code/no-code solutions and scripts (Python, SQL, VBA) for workflow automation and data integrations.
- Ensure system logic accounts for regional tax and accounting nuances, including GST, withholding taxes, multi-currency, and cross-border compliance.
- Manage solution rollouts end-to-end, from stakeholder workshops and requirement mapping to UAT, documentation, and user training.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot data flows during peak month-end and quarter-end close cycles.
- Act as the primary liaison between regional business users and global IT/finance teams.
What We Are Looking For
- 5–7 years of experience in finance operations, business systems, or techno-functional process improvement with regional exposure across Asia.
- Practical, hands-on experience building tools using low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Power Platform, Appian).
- Solid scripting skills in Python, SQL, or VBA for automating data tasks and system integrations.
- Active experience implementing AI solutions and BI reporting tools within finance or operational workflows.
- Strong knowledge of regional statutory requirements, tax rules (GST/WHT), multi-currency setups, and core finance/ERP systems.
- Native or professional fluency in English; strong proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
