Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Finance Controller in Hong Kong to lead month-end close, ensure accurate financial records, and manage audits. You will prepare statutory statements and management reports while strengthening internal controls across the group.

The successful candidate should hold a degree in accounting/finance with a professional qualification (CPA/ACCA/HKICPA), 10+ years of experience, and be proficient in ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional qualification.
• 10+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience with team exposure.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/HKFRS and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing audits and regulatory filings.
• Proficient with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and leadership skills.
• Willing to travel to China frequently.

Responsibilities

As a Finance Controller, your main responsibilities will include:

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and general ledger.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and management reports.
• Manage external audits and liaise with auditors, regulators, and tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/HKFRS) and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial governance.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve accounting issues.
• Manage tax compliance and statutory filings.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
• Drive process improvement and finance system enhancements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Controller should have:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA, ACCA, HKICPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 10+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience, with team management exposure.
• Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting knowledge.
