Leadingnation is seeking a senior Finance professional to lead the financial planning process for designated business units in Hong Kong. You will drive budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic planning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

You will act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic financial insights to business leaders and shaping decisions with a strong focus on financial integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
• Progressive finance experience with business partnering exposure.
• Strong command of FP&A, analysis and reporting in a commercial setup.
• Pricing, margins, and deal/tender support under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A for assigned business units, including budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic planning.
• Perform complex financial analysis (profitability, margins, ROI) to guide decisions.
• Provide strategic financial insights to shape business strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial impact of initiatives like launches and market expansions.
• Contribute to monthly business reviews with prepared financial materials and discussions.

About the role

This role leads the financial planning process for assigned business units, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning, ensuring that all financial plans are aligned with corporate objectives and provide a clear roadmap for achieving financial targets. You will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by providing strategic financial insights and recommendations, helping to shape business strategies and ensure that financial considerations are fully integrated into decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the financial planning process for assigned business units, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives




• Conduct complex financial analysis, such as profitability analysis, margin analysis, and ROI assessments, to support high-impact business decisions




• Work with limited supervision and broad guidelines, regularly applying independent judgment on matters of significance




• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to business leaders to shape business strategies




• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives, such as product launches, market expansions, and cost-reduction programs




• Contribute to the monthly business review process by coordinating the preparation of financial materials and leading discussions on financial performance




• Evaluate investment business cases, including capital expenditures, R&D projects, and strategic marketing initiatives




• Monitor the financial health of assigned business units by tracking key performance indicators and identifying emerging risks and opportunities




• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements




• Lead or participate in initiatives to improve financial processes and systems

About you

• Bachelor's degree or above, major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline




• Approximately five to eight years of progressive finance experience, including demonstrable business partnering with commercial or sales teams




• Strong command of financial planning, analysis, and management reporting in a commercial environment




• Working knowledge of pricing and margin mechanics, and comfort supporting deal and tender decisions under time pressure




• Professional working proficiency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a strong advantage




• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, able to build bridges between people




• Hands on, pro-active, solution driven, very accurate but with sense of big picture




• Profound understanding of accounting principles including Finance compliance requirements




• Preferred: CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional qualification, or an MBA




• Preferred: Experience in healthcare, medical technology, or another regulated industry
