Job summary

Samsonite Asia Limited is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the finance team on Project Horizon, ensuring accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes vendor invoicing, payments, expense approvals, intercompany invoicing, and bank reconciliations. A minimum of 2 years in accounting, SAP experience, and Excel proficiency are preferred, with a diploma in accounting advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in SAP preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication with vendors and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Verify and process vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Prepare and schedule accounts payable payments with a well-organized system.
• Review and approve employee expense reports in line with policies.
• Manage intercompany invoices and daily cash positions.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and assist in STCF preparation.
• Reconcile RHQ and DHK and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide ad-hoc financial support and assist with special projects.
