Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of rock/mineral identification, structural mapping, and familiarity with GIS or core logging software.
• Ability to perform field-based physical work and handle cores outdoors.
• Good command of spoken and written English; valid driver’s license preferred.
• CEDD Approved geologist.

Responsibilities

• Core Logging & Analysis: Perform geological logging of drill cores, recording lithology, structure, alteration, mineralization, and geotechnical data (e.g., RQD).
• Sampling & QA/QC: Prepare core and soil/rock samples for assaying in strict accordance with QA/QC procedures.
• Data Logging: Input accurate field observation data into geological database management systems.
• Core Yard Management: Oversee core photography, markup, splitting/cutting, and safe storage protocols.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards on-site.
