Job summary

The Hong Kong Dance Company 香港舞蹈團 is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead strategic development and artistic vision in collaboration with the Artistic Director. You will shape long-term growth, secure funding, and build partnerships across public, private and international arts sectors.

You will oversee governance, operations, and programmes, ensuring compliance with HK SAR policies while driving innovation, audience development and sustainable financial performance for the Company.

Qualifications

• A degree or higher qualification.
• At least 15 years of solid management experience, including at least five years in a senior management position in an NGO, public entity or commercial sectors.
• A proven track record of leading organisations to sustained growth, with the ability to drive corporate development, business portfolio, fundraising and audience development.
• Established networks across Hong Kong, Mainland China and international arts, social and commercial sectors.
• Strong leadership skills, an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to creating impact through the arts.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Chinese culture, business development and ESG is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead the Company's strategic development and artistic vision with the Artistic Director, contributing to its long-term development.
• Translate the Company's strategic priorities into KPIs aligned with the Hong Kong SAR Government's cultural policies under the Five-Year Plan.
• To ensure the Company meets with the governance requirement of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, HKSAR Government.
• Drive entrepreneurial growth and sound returns through art programmes, education initiatives, sponsorships and strategic partnerships.
• Uphold high standards of financial and administrative governance in accordance with policies established by the Company's Board of Directors.
• Lead cross-functional teams in delivering programmes and projects to a high standard and in a professional manner.
• Build and cultivate networks with cultural partners, commercial organisations and institutions to foster innovation and strengthen the Company's capabilities.
• Oversee the Company's day-to-day operations.
• Develop trusted relationships with Government departments, major sponsors and donors, and other stakeholders.
• Serve as Secretary to the Board and perform other related duties as required.
