Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a seasoned Private Banking leader to head a Taiwan-focused team of Private Bankers in a regional bank. You will drive growth, nurture talent, and shape a high-performance culture across the Taiwan market.

You will mentor relationship managers, execute business plans, manage risk and governance, and partner with product and investment teams to deliver holistic wealth solutions for HNW/UHNW clients.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management with HNW/UHNW clients.
• Proven track record leading a team of Relationship Managers.
• Strong commercial acumen and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a Taiwan-focused private banking team.
• Drive performance against revenue, NNM, AUM growth, and client acquisition.
• Partner with Private Bankers on key relationships and complex wealth discussions.
• Develop and execute business plans to grow Taiwan private banking.
• Provide leadership and coaching to relationship managers for advisory excellence.
• Promote cross-selling with investment, lending and wealth planning teams.
• Monitor risks, regulatory adherence and governance standards.
• Support recruitment, succession planning and long-term platform growth.
• Maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships across functions.
• Represent the bank as a senior figure in Taiwan private banking.

• Drive team performance against revenue, net new money, AUM growth, and client acquisition objectives.
• Partner with Private Bankers on key client relationships, strategic opportunities, and complex wealth management discussions.
• Develop and execute business plans to grow the Taiwan private banking business while strengthening market presence and client penetration.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing guidance to relationship managers to enhance client advisory capabilities and commercial effectiveness.
• Promote cross-selling and collaboration with investment advisory, lending, wealth planning, and product specialist teams to deliver holistic wealth solutions.
• Monitor portfolio concentration, business risks, and client activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
• Support recruitment, succession planning, and team-building initiatives to strengthen the platform's long-term growth.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across product, investment, risk, compliance, and operations functions.
• Act as a senior representative of the bank within the Taiwan private banking market and broader wealth management community.

The Successful Applicant

• Extensive experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management, with a proven track record serving HNW & UHNW clients.
• Prior leadership experience managing a team of Relationship Managers.
• Demonstrated success in driving team performance, business growth, and client asset acquisition.
• Strong understanding of investment products, portfolio management, lending, and wealth structuring solutions.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
• Established network within the Taiwan HNW/UHNW client segment is highly preferred.
• Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and people management capabilities.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.
