Job summary

Hytech in Hong Kong is seeking an Equities Operations & Settlement Manager to lead the end-to-end physical stock trading operations lifecycle, coordinating with Product, Engineering, Brokers, Custodians, and Operations to scale and mitigate risk.

You will own trade execution, settlement, reconciliation, and lifecycle management, drive process improvements, and ensure control frameworks for a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Equities Operations, Settlement, Product Operations, or Trading Operations within a securities firm or financial institution.
• Hands-on experience with Physical Stock and the equity trading lifecycle (trade execution, clearing, settlement, reconciliation).
• Knowledge of CFDs, Prime Brokerage, or Crypto trading products is a strong advantage.
• Experience leading operational improvement projects; ownership of transformation initiatives preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end operational workflow for the Physical Stock business, including trade execution, settlement, reconciliation, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Brokers, Custodians, Sales, Structuring, and Operations to support growth while reducing risk.
• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to ensure smooth trade processing and drive continuous improvements across equity trading products.
• Review and optimize workflows for equities, CFDs, and other investment products to improve automation, scalability, and internal controls.
• Analyze regulatory requirements to recommend sustainable process improvements and deliver enhancement projects from planning to implementation.

About the Role

We are looking for a Equities Operations & Settlement Manager to drive the operational excellence of our physical stock business. You will own the end-to-end trading operations lifecycle, partner closely with Product and cross-functional teams, and continuously improve operational efficiency, scalability, and risk control to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end operational workflow for the Physical Stock business, including trade execution, settlement, reconciliation, and lifecycle management.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Brokers, Custodians, Sales, Structuring, and Operations teams to support business growth while minimizing operational and settlement risks.
• Partner with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth trade processing, investigate operational issues, and drive continuous improvements across equity trading products.
• Review and optimise operational workflows for equities, CFDs, and other investment products, identifying opportunities to improve automation, scalability, efficiency, and internal controls.
• Analyse operational, business, and regulatory requirements to recommend sustainable process improvements and deliver operational enhancement projects from planning through implementation.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Equities Operations, Settlement, Product Operations, or Trading Operations within a Securities Firm, Investment Bank, Private Bank, Brokerage, or Financial Institution.
• Hands-on experience supporting Physical Stock products with a solid understanding of the equity trading lifecycle, including trade execution, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and corporate actions.
• Strong knowledge of equity-related financial products. Experience with CFDs, Prime Brokerage, or Crypto trading products is a strong advantage.
• Experience participating in operational improvement or cross-functional projects; ownership of operational transformation initiatives is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions and external partners.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume trading environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining operational excellence.
