Job summary

Carbon Exchange (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an engineer/scientist to support building energy efficiency consultancy and R&D projects under the Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance, including energy audits and COCR, and to align with ESG reporting frameworks.

The role involves site audits, IoT/system testing, data entry, and collaboration with a Senior Engineer/Technical Head. Fresh graduates and STEM degree holders are welcome, with HK work eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or above of Engineering or Science discipline; preference for Building Services, Computer Science, Data/decision analytics, Energy or Mechanical/Energy/Environmental STEM disciplines
• Pursuing degree in STEM; training/courses in energy audits/retro-commissioning are advantageous
• Experience or knowledge related to carbon auditing and ESG reporting is an added advantage
• Experience or knowledge related to Internet of Things or programming languages is an added advantage
• Permission to work in Hong Kong

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks related to consultancy and R&D projects on Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance (BEEO), including energy audits (EA), form of compliance (FOC) and COCR registration
• Handle ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., HKEx Appendix 27, TCFD)
• Perform engineering product development tasks, especially measurement and verification (M&V) or MRV
• Conduct site audits, site inspections, site surveys and data entries
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor
• Report to Senior Engineer/Technical Head
