About The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to join our Mobile Infrastructure team and drive the technical foundation that powers OKX's app for millions of daily active users. In this role, you will lead and grow a team of mobile infrastructure engineers, set the technical direction for our platform layer, and work closely with product engineering teams to ensure the OKX app is fast, reliable, and built to scale.

This is not a feature delivery role. You will own the engineering systems, tooling, and frameworks that enable the broader mobile organisation to ship with speed and confidence. We are actively embedding AI into how our teams build and operate — and we're looking for a leader who embraces that shift and brings others along with them.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead, mentor, and develop a mobile infrastructure engineering team, driving ownership and accountability across platform milestones.
• Set the technical direction for mobile infrastructure — including tooling, shared frameworks, performance systems, and developer experience toolchain.
• Champion the adoption of AI tools and workflows across the team — from code generation and review to testing and incident analysis — to raise the quality and velocity of delivery.
• Drive architecture decisions and engineering standards across the mobile platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability at scale.
• Partner with product engineering teams to deliver infrastructure solutions, unblock development, and raise the bar on engineering quality across the organisation.
• Own performance engineering across the platform — memory, package size, startup time, and UI rendering — in production environments serving millions of users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including product, design, backend, and security teams to align on platform goals and execute effectively.
• Serve as the go-to technical expert for complex infrastructure challenges, maintaining the robustness and scalability of the mobile platform.

What We Look For In You

• 8+ years of mobile engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a team lead or management role focused on infrastructure, platform, or architecture.
• Proven ability to lead and grow engineering teams, with strong technical judgement and a high level of drive.
• Deep expertise in iOS or Android development, with a strong understanding of the mobile platform layer — performance, toolchain, architecture, and developer experience.
• Actively uses AI tools in your engineering workflow — you don't just know about them, you've integrated them into how you and your team work.
• Strong communicator who can align cross-functional teams and work effectively across stakeholders at different levels.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making sound technical decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Haves

• Hands‑on experience leading a dedicated mobile architecture or infrastructure team with deep platform specialisation.
• Track record of driving performance optimisation at scale — memory, package size, startup time, and rendering performance.
• Experience shipping AI‑powered features or integrating AI tooling into engineering workflows at team or org level.
• Familiarity with cross‑platform frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
• Experience in fintech, crypto, or other high‑scale consumer app environments.
