Job summary

Aptiv invites applications for an Engineering Assistant – Current Product Engineering in its Manufacturing Engineering team in Hong Kong. You will help sustain and improve product quality, delivery and cost while supporting failure analysis and line-pull resolves.

The role requires a Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with 3 years’ experience and hands-on skills in measurement and failure analysis equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Higher Nitec/ Nitec with 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Product failure analytical skills.
• Experience in measurement and failure analysis equipment.
• Problem solving skills.
• Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve product quality, delivery and cost.
• Provide Product Failure Analysis for warranty, assembly plant returns and line pulls.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in cost reduction initiatives.
• Identify root causes of product problems correctly and timely.
• Analyze low test yield problems swiftly.
• Verify and analyses customer returns accurately & timely.
• Work with the people in other disciplines to resolve product problems.

• Sustain and improve product Quality, Delivery and Cost
• Provide Product Failure Analysis for warranty, assembly plant returns and line pulls
• Participate in continuous improvement activities

• Analyze low test yield problems swiftly.

Formal education and experience

• Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Higher Nitec/ Nitec with 3 years’ relevant experience
• Product failure analytical skills
• Experience in measurement and failure analysis equipment
• Problem solving skills
• Must be comfortable to perform rotating shift (Day and Night shift) and perform overtime when needed
