Job summary

The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) is hiring an Engineer (Quality Assurance – Network Technical Development) to identify and implement innovative automation solutions for gas operation and network development. You will work with vendors and stakeholders on AI/robotic projects, test and deploy innovations, and drive quality improvements across the gas network materials.

Engineer (Quality Assurance – Network Technical Development)

The Role:
Innovative Technology Development

Identify, assess, and implement innovative, safe, and cost-effective automation solutions for gas operation and network development

Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to customize and implement AI/robotic/automation solutions

Monitor risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance and performance standards are achieved

Test, verify, and deploy innovation projects

Apply for funding and patents where applicable

Project Planning & Management

Quality Improvement

Diagnose quality issues found in gas network materials. Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to develop effective improvement solutions

Conduct supplier factory audits to ensure continuous improvement

The Person:

Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing / Product / Automation Engineering or relevant disciplines

At least 5 years’ relevant working experience

Apply advanced skills in SolidWorks, FEA simulation, and robotic design to evaluate, customize, and validate engineering solutions and innovation projects

Demonstrate strong analytical skills to associate events, evaluate possible consequences, and understand relationships among issues

Strong programming, communication, and teamwork abilities

Sound knowledge in AI concepts and frameworks is preferred

Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is beneficial

Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and innovative
