Job summary

HKBN is seeking an Engineer - Network Planning to develop network plans for customer advocacy, cost reduction, and revenue increase across Enterprise & Residential networks. You will manage large projects and coordinate stakeholders to establish the GPON roadmap and rollout.

You will evaluate access network capacity, forecast long-term plans, and perform cost–benefit analyses to select economically viable solutions. Strong Excel skills and an engineering background are required.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or related disciplines.
• Experience in network planning, network design or related roles.
• Advanced Excel data manipulation and analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Support special projects such as new network rollout, obsolescence plan and cost optimization.
• Maintain network dashboard to track network efficiency and forecast CAPEX.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing network plans for customer advocacy improvement, costs reduction and revenue increment in Enterprise & Residential network
• Manage large scale network projects and coordinate both internal and external stakeholders to establish High Speed GPON network roadmap & rollout
• Evaluate access network capacity and issue network plans pass on to Network Design & Construction team for detailed designs and implementations
• Provide statistical analysis and forecast to ensure long-term network plans are completed
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis on proposed network builds, identify and recommend most commercially viable solutions
• Support special projects such as new network rollout, obsolescence plan and analysis to optimize network and cost efficiency
• Maintain network dashboard to keep track of the network efficiency
• Maintain network cost record and assist in forecasting CAPEX on the network projects

Requirements:

• Engineering Degree or related disciplines
• Experience in network planning, network design or related roles
• The ideal candidate is a result-oriented, self-motivated team player who has a good sense of time, cost and quality
• Advanced Excel data manipulation and analysis skills will be an advantage
• Result-oriented, self-motivated, analytical and positive-minded team player
• Good command of both written and spoken English
