Job summary

Spread Well Development Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced mechanical/structural engineer to lead product structure design for toys and cosmetic packaging, ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and cost efficiency. You will drive development plans, review designs, and coordinate with customers to implement updates.

You will also lead the team, promote innovation, and improve processes across the department while aligning with safety standards and company strategy.

Qualifications

• College degree or higher in mechanical, structural, or design fields.
• Proficient with drawing tools PS and CAD for product structures.
• Experience in toy or cosmetic industry preferred.
• Experience calculating IE production hours.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead the team and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Based on company strategy, develop product development plans and project proposals.
• Coordinate daily work with customers and satisfy product structure updates.
• Lead research and improvement of new technologies and processes.
• Participate in new product design, material selection, and documentation.
• Review structural design for practicality, reliability, and cost.
• Develop and train team in structural design standards.
• Manage KPI, training, and talent development in the department.
• Ensure alignment with safety and regulatory requirements.

Job description

Experience in chemical children's toys & cosmetic industry is preferred.

• 1. Familiar with Toy industry project coordination work flow from EP, FEP, PP to PS
• 2. Familiar with mechanism on bottle, jar and cosmetic container tooling development
• 3. Familiar with Global Toys safety requirement
• 4. Based on the company's strategy and plan, make product development plans, project proposals, and implementation;
• 5. Keep contact with customers, coordinate daily work according to their requirements, and satisfy their product structure updates and development;
• 6. Lead the research and technological improvement of new technologies and processes in the structural engineering department; promote product innovation and upgrading of old products in the company;
• 7. Participate in the design of new products, material selection and testing, output new product drawings and related documents;
• 8. Responsible for product structure design and rationality review;
• 9. Responsible for reviewing product structural design as well as aspects, such as structural rationality, reliability, cost rationality, and manufacturability;
• 10. Responsible for formulating structural design standard documents and providing technical guidance and training to the team to improve their technical level;
• 11. Responsible for KPI management, training, and talent development of the department.

Job Skills

• 1. College degree or above, majoring in mechanical, structural, design, and related fields;
• 2. Proficient in using graphic design, 3D design, PS, CAD and other drawing software;
• 3. Priority given to those with experience in the chemical children's toy & cosmetic industry;
• 4. Have experience in calculating IE production hours;
• 5. Good at holding teamwork spirit, diligent and responsible in work, also with strong logical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills.
