Job summary

Cathay Dining, Hong Kong's principal airline caterer at HKG, seeks an experienced Engineering Supervisor. The role ensures PM/CM compliance, coordinates maintenance with internal and external parties, and oversees contractors to minimize downtime while maintaining service quality.

Requirements include a Higher Diploma/Certificate or Engineering degree, 6+ years post-qualification experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, and fluent Chinese and English communication.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required.

• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure PM/CM are applied with proper records and reporting.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties during maintenance; supervise contractors to ensure timely attendance, diagnose issues, downtime estimates and corrective actions.
• Prepare daily and management reports.
• Supervise contractors to close down time and ensure satisfaction with minimal impact to operations.
• Perform shift duty as requested to monitor operations and maintenance status; respond to faults and incidents and liaise with affected parties.

Responsibilities

Ensure that PM/ CM are thoroughly applied by a good record and reporting system. Liaise with relevant parties the spare parts for the maintenance works is required.

Coordinate with internal and external parties during emergency breakdown maintenance. Supervise the contractors to ensure their timely attendance of all faults, diagnose, estimated downtime and corrective action follow up.

Prepare daily and management reports.

Supervise the contractors to timely close down time and up to satisfaction with minimal impact to Operations.

Perform shift duty as requested to monitor the operational and technical performance as requested. Monitor all faults and incidents, and supervise the maintenance contractor for operating status, timely attendance of all faults, diagnosis, estimated down time and corrective action follow up. Liaise and respond to the affected parties of operating status, estimated down time and possible solution for maintaining normal operation.

Assist Manager in Engineering Department to:

Implement projects to meet business and operational needs,

Supervise the maintenance contractors to ensure their works meeting SLA

Supervise the contractors to timely complete works and close fault report up to satisfaction

Carry out additional duties as directed by superiors.

Assist Manager to implement ad-hoc enhancement/improvement projects from feasibility study, design development, tender, execution and hand over to end user department.

Assist and support Manager during an emergency or crisis situation. Attend emergency, report duty during off-duty and typhoon as requested.

Requirements

Higher Diploma / Certificate or Degree in Engineering.

A minimum of 6 years post qualification experience with not less than 2 years at supervisory level.

Good interpersonal skills and good written and communication skills in both Chinese and English.

Good computer knowledge in MS Office. Good knowledge and skills on computer aid system for system control. Knowledge in using AutoCAD is an advantage.

Good supervisory skills.

Able to work independently and detail oriented.
