ExxonMobil Hong Kong Limited is seeking a Market Risk Analyst to monitor trading activities for compliance with Market Risk Management policies and to develop and maintain tools for Global Trading. You will identify, measure, and report trading gross margin, exposures, and overall market risk for the Commercial portfolio.

You will work with a global team, providing risk advisory to senior management and supporting hedging plans, data integrity, and risk reporting.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics
• 2-4 years of experience in financial, energy or chemical risk management
• Strong knowledge of crude oil, freight and energy markets
• Understanding of physical trading, derivatives and financial products
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
• Excellent proficiency in Excel; SQL or programming languages (Python) preferred
• Experience with Energy Trading Risk Management Systems
• Collegiality and disciplined risk management approach

Mansioni

• Act as Market Risk focal point for front-office and senior stakeholders.
• Develop strong relationships with Commercial stakeholders and understand Global Trading strategies and exposures.
• Assess risk profiles from trade to portfolio level and advise on risk-reward trade-offs.
• Ensure adherence to exposure and risk limits and guide actions to reduce risk.
• Execute daily market risk processes and generate risk reports with Global Trading teams.
• Provide daily commentary on portfolio activity and implications for risk and market intelligence.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting for deal support and portfolio queries.
• Validate positions and reconcile data with traders.
• Review hedging plans and support limits development for reporting systems.
• Develop risk reporting and ad-hoc analyses using Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau/Power BI
• Participate in month/quarter/year-end closing processes
• Work with refinery coordinators and product schedulers to validate production data and hedging signals
