Job summary

Maven in Hong Kong is seeking a Risk Analyst to monitor and control firm-wide risk exposures across trading strategies, including options market-making. You will work with Risk, trading, and technology to develop and operate risk metrics and monitoring.

The role focuses on market risk management with opportunities to contribute to the global Risk team, including APAC and other locations, and to advance algorithmic trading controls.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in proprietary trading or buy-side.
• Equity and fixed income derivatives focus; options beneficial.
• Quantitative degree in finance or STEM.
• Strong reporting and communication skills.
• Understanding of AI in the workplace.
• Basic Python knowledge.
• Calm and composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Daily risk monitoring for proprietary trading and options market-making.
• Collaborate with technologists and risk team to enhance controls.
• Develop and enhance risk monitoring and reporting framework.
• Participate in operational risk monitoring and risk-mitigation workstreams.
• Coordinate with global Risk team on risk-focused projects.
• Engage with trading to ensure effective communication across regions.
