Job summary

ITEC is seeking a Software Engineer Intern (Embedded Systems) to join our R&D team on a 1-year contract. You will work on software for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment and collaborate with experienced engineers on real-world industrial systems.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Proficiency in C++, C#, Python or Rust and knowledge of multithreaded or event-driven development are preferred, with a focus on hardware interfacing and industrial communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Python or Rust, with knowledge of multithreaded and event-driven software development.
• Knowledge of industrial communication, hardware interfacing, machine data acquisition or equipment-control systems.
• Strong debugging, integration-testing and technical-documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement machine-side software components for communicating with equipment controllers, sensors and peripheral devices.
• Develop hardware abstraction modules to standardize access to different machine interfaces and device configurations.
• Create equipment simulators and test tools for validating machine software without requiring continuous access to physical equipment.
• Perform machine integration testing, troubleshoot communication issues and document verified interface behavior.
• Support on-machine installation, configuration and functional verification.
