Job summary

The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd invites an experienced electrical engineer to join the project team in Admiralty. The appointee will contribute to design development and prepare technical specifications for power development projects.

You will support tender evaluation, oversee safety and quality controls during construction, testing and commissioning, and inspect fabrication workshops locally or overseas. Close coordination with contractors, authorities and stakeholders is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Disciplines.
A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.
Familiar with international quality, environmental and safety management standards; local and international regulations, procedures, standards and codes of practice.
Proficient in MS Office.
Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written.
Holder of a valid class 1 and 2 driving license an advantage.
Candidate with less relevant experience may be considered for the positions of Engineer II, Engineer III or Assistant Engineer.

Responsibilities

To assist in preparation of conceptual and detailed designs and technical specifications for the power development projects
To provide support in tender evaluation and make recommendation
To assist in performing safety and quality controls for construction, testing and commissioning works
To conduct inspection at manufacturers’ fabrication workshop (local or overseas) and monitor project progress
To liaise with internal parties and external parties including contractors, government authorities and public stakeholders on project matters
