Job summary

SBI China Capital Holdings Limited is seeking a senior ECM leader to drive the firm's equity capital markets business in Hong Kong. You will originate and execute IPOs, placements, and other equity-linked transactions, while expanding relationships with listed companies and institutional investors.

The role requires extensive ECM experience, a deep understanding of HK and international markets, and a proven track record in deal origination and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related disciplines.
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in ECM, investment banking, corporate finance or capital markets, with proven transaction execution and origination experience.
• Demonstrated track record in leading IPOs, placements and other equity fundraising transactions.
• Strong network with listed companies, institutional investors and market participants.
• In-depth understanding of Hong Kong and international capital markets, listing rules and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, business development and client management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
• Holder of relevant SFC licences and Responsible Officer (RO) experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the firm's ECM business, including IPOs, secondary offerings, block trades, placements, convertible bonds and other equity-linked transactions.
• Develop and implement ECM business strategies to expand the firm's issuer and investor franchise.
• Originate and execute ECM mandates, including identifying business opportunities, pitching to corporate clients and maintaining senior client relationships.
• Advise listed companies and prospective issuers on equity financing strategies, capital raising solutions and market positioning.
• Lead transaction execution, due diligence, valuation discussions, marketing activities and deal structuring.
• Oversee roadshows, investor education, bookbuilding processes and investor engagement activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with listed companies, institutional investors, fund managers, professional intermediaries and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all ECM activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk management standards.
• Perform other duties and strategic initiatives as assigned by senior management.
