Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking an Investment Manager to source and evaluate early-stage venture opportunities, build relationships with founders, universities, incubators, and industry partners, and support due diligence and investment execution.

The role requires 2–6 years in VC or related fields, a finance/business degree, strong financial modelling, and fluency in English and Mandarin; you will operate in a fast-paced HK financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, STEM, or a related discipline.
• 2-6 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, startup ecosystems, or technology-related fields.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, and communication skills.
• Passion for innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate early-stage startup investment opportunities, particularly from university incubators and innovation ecosystems.
• Conduct market research, industry analysis, and commercial due diligence.
• Support investment execution, including financial analysis, valuation, and investment memorandums.
• Build relationships with founders, university partners, incubators, and industry stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio companies and assist with value creation initiatives.
• Participate in startup events, pitch days, and entrepreneurship programs.
